                                              WHEN SHALL IT END??????

Yet another gang rape, followed by the rising of protests in almost all parts of the country .Every time a rape or molestation takes place it is the same tale of a tail of consequences that follows .Protests, numerous arrests, revelation of other sexual assaults on women and a few rules(which always remains unfollowed ) are implied. Why is it the same story every time.
If indeed every cloud has a silver lining then why does this saying go false in cases such as this . Every time such sexual assaults takes place we can only see our country’s n our country’s women’s prestige and position drooping even low.
India which we call our motherland signifies a female figure when personified. Isn’t it ironical that even after being called a motherland, it has so many crimes taking place against her own daughters.
India, again is a secular state ,whose population worships so many goddesses. Mother Mary, Goddess Durga signifying female power, Goddess Saraswati signifying knowledge and Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and many others. In spite of all these where we people worship goddesses the most, the men do not hesitate to pass lewd comments on women, make obscene  gestures , molest  them, rape them and ultimately put them to silence.
This recent gang rape in Delhi had enraged the youth population of India leading to rampant protests and rallies and as a part of this youth, all I want is an immediate and effective action against these rapists.
Like me, many others want such criminals to be hanged or castrated.  But even after many protests and anger against the ineffective government of India to take effective actions such sexual assaults against woman we can find no hope.
All we can do besides waiting for a strict law to be implied is to be careful and protect our dignity and life as long as we can.

                                                                     LEFT ALONE

I saw it in the morning while going to the college . It seemed to be out for a morning walk all by itself , after having cuddled it we hurried off to college.
We again saw it in the evening and thought that may be it was out for yet another walk .We continued to see it out for many such walks for the next three days . Once i caught it sniffing and tugging at a garbage bag, i was astonished to find it in such an act because it was quiet uncommon for this leashed creature to do so.
The next evening i eve's dropped a conversation between two of my pg mates and picked up words such as white ,cute, adorable, hungry and poor thing. It was some 6th sense that told me that they were talking about the same Pomeranian which i had seen roaming about in the neighbourhood since five days.I saw them sneaking out a piece of bread and giving it to that dog . That's when i decided to ask them whose dog it was .
To this rhetorical question they replied that it was lost. As soon as we started talking about it other girls joined in expressing their sympathy which they felt for the same lost Pomeranian. Our conversation gained momentum and we pondered over as to whether or not to keep that puppy in our p.g.. I realised that like me there were many who could see their long time dream of keeping a pet getting fulfilled.
But just like every coin has two sides, likewise there were a few who did not want that dog at our place. They were either scared or shunted dogs.
They way they despised our ideas hurt me cause I saw my dream pf keeping a dog shattering. When we suggested this to our P.g. owners they rejected our suggestion and others joined in the denial.
It was then that tears started welling up in my eyes.Uncle made me understand as to what may be the consequences of keeping a dog the pain I would feel when the owner would come to claim his animal.Though i understood the situation i felt bitterness towards few of my friends and even the owner of the dog who had left it on the streets.
Its been two weeks since the incident but i still feel the same sympathy for the dog whenever i catch a glance if it roaming about in the streets.Such is my love for animals for whom i want to relentlessly work for once i complete my studies.
